Prompt Communities

Back in the day, I used to be a part of every muse prompt community ever. No really I was. Theatrical Muse, Realm of the Muse, 10 Spot, etc. I got away from it when I did more RP than prompts and the prompts were starting to look alike. But! Now I'm in the mood to join again and write a bunch of prompts except..... I can't find any. Seriously. I went to Theatrical Muse which used to be extremely popular and busy and uh... they still list my Max Guevara as active. I haven't used that journal in close to two years and the there are only random answers to prompts. The other communities that I could find by doing interest prompts died out, too.

Is that dead? No active prompt communities for muses anymore? I know there is sws but I'm not a fan of that. Any musebox'/sandbox places to play when you have the itch? Where do y'all go to write as your muse?

There's musing_way at Dreamwidth and bloodsingsblood at IJ. The latter hasn't been active much being that both mods have been ill and busy. (One of the mods being me.)

I miss muse prompt comms and the prompts at TM haven't inspired me though my three characters are still listed as active even if I haven't done a prompt since January, I think.

Yeah, I've been enjoying Sheridan way way way too much, so am tempted to join with him. It's about the only active one I've seen.

Yeah that's what I was noticing. Mylia pointed me toward a place in dreamwidth and I found a couple others from there that look active. No commitments like Charloft and Justprompts used to be.

I've thought about that, too but since they are so off on who is active and who isn't I don't know which muse to put in the community. :D

Seconding charloft and Musing Way. I stuck my Five muse in during Charloft's 100 Drabbles of Summer challenge, which was actually rather fun. Charloft doesn't have a monthly commitment, and though Musing Way checks activity, the minimum word count is extremely low (I believe it's 10?) so you don't have to put a huge degree of commitment to it at all.

I like the charloft prompts a lot, and it's nice that they've got a different type per day so you can easily pick through them.
