* How I FEEEEEL about this character
I love Alec. I love the dynamic between him and Max and I especially love the depth of him. On the outside, shallow horn dog but there are so many layers to him.


* All the people I ship romantically with this character
Alec/Max, Alec/Logan, Alec/Ames White (I'm a sick and twisted girl), Alec/Asha. For crossovers - Alec/Jack Harkness, Alec/Gambit, Alec/Phoebe Halliwell.

* My unpopular opinion about this character
I don't think I really have an unpopular opinion about him.

About his relationship with Rachel, oh yeah. Some of fandom like to portray Rachel as his OMG twue wuv that will haunt him until he dies and that makes me twitch.


* One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

That they would have had a third season to show how he grew as a person and stepped up to help the Freak Nation, fighting beside Max. (I ignore the books :P )

Ooo, Alec/Gambit would be so much fun.

My feeling is that Rachel was his first love, and there's a special kind of baggage that comes with that, not to mention the angst-potential of him being able to look back at some of what he did as 494. But that doesn't translate into forever broken and will never love again (which I think some people believe).

And so much yes to showing his growth in a third season. (I only read one of the books, and ignoring them seems like the right idea to me)

Exactly with Rachel. First love and haunting memory with regret I am there but the forever broken and hoping death was a lie? Not so much.

I couldn't even get through one book. Seriously. When the author had Original Cindy ex-Army? WTH? I thought dude if you don't even get that character, how are you going to get the more complex ones? Not that OC isn't complex but compared to the transgenics, oh yeah.

There are times when I want to smack Merlin upside the head. But that's only in S3 and to be fair I want to smack them all so there ya go. :P

I like Merlin. I love that he's bumbling and doesn't know what he's doing, like a puppy that is growing into their paws. There are times when I want to shake him and say dude have you not learned your lesson about the dragon? He's manipulating you as much as Morgause is with Morgana.

Not a fan of the Last Dragon Lord aspect of his character that they introduced. He's already the most powerful to add on dragon lord makes me twitch. Personally, I wish they would have introduced a new character into that role but eh.

* One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
See above. :P Besides that, I wish they would have shown more of his background in the earlier seasons, if only flashbacks. They might still in the future.

Exactly! How did she hide it because you know as a kid Merlin would have tried all kinds of things. I sort of see him like a Tabitha in Bewitched clapping his chubby kid hands with glee as dishes danced around him. :P
