Happy New Year!
Jan. 1st, 2010 10:35 amHere have a pretty RDA for the first day of the new decade. :D
Life is pretty good. I've had some ups and downs, but that's what happens with life. None of my downs were super down and I had friends and family to lift me back up again. I'm very lucky and know that my blessings far outweigh the bad things.
That isn't to say that I don't have things I need to improve on. I have loads of those but I'm pretty happy with where I am.
To start off the new year, I'm going to spend the day writing, surfing and having hoppin' john for lunch. That's right. I'm Southern. *g* Black eyed peas, ham hock and greens. Yummies. Might even make some corn bread in an iron skillet in the oven the way God intended them to be made. :P
I'm also kind of having a bittersweet moment thinking about Ten's last days in Doctor Who. Nine will always be my Doctor but I did love Tennant's take on him as well. While I'm not really looking forward to Moffat's run, that's just my opinion of him, I am looking forward to seeing what Matt Smith is going to do with him.
To everyone on my flist and those that aren't that I RP with and have interacted with in either RP games or prompt communities. Thank you for making me a better writer and giving me back the joy of playing.
Okay, off for some beach time before the stupid rain and cool front hits here.

Date: 2010-01-03 02:40 am (UTC)Ugh, I liked Madame du Pompadour but my problem with that episode was the OOCness of the Doctor, imho. It wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't (as Nine) made a big thing about changing time lines and making someone alive that was meant to be dead. Sure, he'll say that he's a Time Lord and knew what he was doing but to ask someone as historically known as Madame du Pompadour and whisk her away on his TARDIS even if he brought her back an hour after she left it would change so much because she was changed. I would have been perfectly fine with the episode if it had been Jane Q Public instead of such a historic figure.
Wow, you got a dissertation there. :P
